Reflecting on 2006, and the return of Optimus Prime

When the year started, I some how knew there were going to be some major changes ahead. Although I knew this, sensed it, whatever I knew the year would end with my life being in a much different place at the end of the year then how it was when the year started.
For starters I was in a relationship with one girlfriend at the begining of the year which was a total ceaspool of bullshit to leaving her for someone whom I should have been with twelve to fourteen years ago. (imagine how much different life would have been if that had happened).
Over the last five months I have been much happier then I have been in several years with both myself and my surroundings. I ended up with a bigger and better store, a better relationship, I now have my girlfriend and a daughter to take care of.. there are just so many things I can’t even list on here for no other reason then I am lazy, and I will forget something any way so I just named off the most important things to me.
I can’t leave out the fact I did get to return to vegas for a few days even if it was most of the time was taken up with business. I was nice to return some place I enjoyed being at.
I lost a couple of friends whom needed to go away, I upset a couple of people whom need to either get over it or go away, and I made some new friends along the way. I think this is the first time in a very long time I can say the year ended on a positive note.
We are just hours away from a new year and I have no idea what is to come. I know this much I have new challenges ahead of me both personal and professional. Both of which are new territories for me completely but I am confident everything will be great and I will be just as positive going into 08′ as I am about 07′.
Fortunately I am taking in the new year by taking the first day of the new off from work and relax. *smiles* I think I am finished reflecting for now, just know this. Things are much better for me, and I hope they are for you as well. I really do!
Oh yeah, and if you were ever a fan of Transformers they killed off Optimus Prime in 2005 (see transformers the movie) and was resurrected in 2007 when the the rest of the universe was infected by the red spores… With that, I will see you next year!

I basically consider my job in a four stress package, and I am half way through the third portion now. First there is black friday, Second there is the entire month of december with Christmas too end it, Third is what retailers call the thirteenth month, and then Finally number four: end of the year inventory.
Thirteenth month this year for me is going very well, and rather a breeze actually. Inventory won’t be that bad either so I am not sweating it.Then comes the begining of the year and I will be off on my vacation!
I realize it was my own fault for not going on vacation at the begining of October since I chose to be promoted to a larger store. I do not regret that decision for one minute. However the time is approaching for me to take that much needed break. Believe me I need it more now then I did before which makes this next planned vacation that much important to me.
Aside from babbling about work everything else is going well. I am able to catch a little bit more sleep yet I am not getting enough as each morning it is harder to get myself out of bed.
I am loading more things onto my ipod when I get a chance and currently when I have 30 seconds here, and 30 seconds there I am working on how to decode my dvd’s to a smaller format to allow me to upload them to my ipod. *smirks* I am sure Vanessa is going to want me to put them on hers also once I figure out how it is all done. I am sure it is not that hard, it is taking the time to fuck with it…
I picked up some new work clothes and shoes the week before Christmas as I needed them desperately. The shoes are much more comfortable then the previous shoes, so much I have thrown the old ones out. The shoes just sucked, period.
I need to also get back into scheduling time to complete Bully, Gauntlet, and Smackdown vs Raw 2007. I am sure I have atleast nine hours of shit to catch up on the DVR as well. Perhaps I will just purchase them for the ipod or transfer them over from the DVR… hmm more crap to mess with… *smiles* I miss being a nerd.
Well I believe that is it for now I am off to complete more tasks.. *sighs*

After a successful day yesterday at work, and coming home and pretty much passing out. I started the day early taking Vanessa to the hospital and then spending the day with the family.
I had a really great time spending time with the family and watching them all unwrap their gifts. I took some pictures and uploaded them to the gallery along with a couple of snap shots from Thanksgiving.
I hope you all have had a great Christmas! I am going to dinner now while my new ipod is uploading.. later!

Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho… now any other time of the year you would recite those words if you were surrounded by women whom all rejected you because they wouldn’t go on a date with your non hygentic, virgin, loser ass… however this time of the year we hear some big fat old guy in red recite it as he flies through the ear having twelve potential canidates for Christmas dinner pulling his ass around the skies delivering presents too all the little hell spawns whom have convinced Santa Claus they were good little angels.
With that being said I really am looking forward to Christmas this year. When it is all said and done it is the time spent with my family drinking egg nog, and or alcohol… and eating potato pancakes that makes it all worth while.
As for the rest of it which entails finding products for customers, being shipped a less then actuall needed amount of in demand products, sending your bosses around town to pick up product from other stores for you (which I am sure they will be glad that will be over soon), getting the product yourself because they are running other errands or having to take care of their own work (which is understandable) listening to people bitch and complain, working until your feet cannot withstand anymore movement involving dragging around your defeated carcaus, I say thank fucking god it is all about to be over soon.
I say Merry Fucking Christmas..
Now I need to go write some personalized emails to some friends since I didn’t send them Christmas cards… d=)

A school bus funeral…

I was looking out onto the street this morning, and I saw one school bus being towed by a tow truck, with two more school buses following behind the tow truck. Kind of seemed to me like a small funeral prosession… I laughed.. so should you .. hee hee
Last night I left work with barely enough time to make it my daughters christmas play. It was a nice play she did really well. When the preschoolers came on stage and sang Vanessa mutters; “I want one.” I should have told her to go pick one out… *laughs* Either way it spells trouble for me.
The paster was bit weird though, he took off with in the first few minutes of the play. Kind of rude I thought, but hey at least he didn’t creep me out as much as the principal whom looks exactly like my previous district manager minus the hair. I kept wanting to go up to him and call him Gary.. or ask him if he was related to someone named Gary…
Anyway… I will post the pictures when I get a chance, I think there are some others I need to upload also .. it pretty much boils down to my computer ceasing to be retarded. I am having issues with timeouts on my wireless internet. I can connect to the router and I can access the router log in page, but I can’t get out on the internet. I checked the settings, etc, but I am to the point I think my computer is just fucked up… grrr…. I hate reinstalls… next time I reinstall or this time when I reinstall I am going to create an image it takes less time that way…
Things at work at going well, I cannot complain …
I had to get a couple of last minute gifts for my mother and Vanessa.. how can I have time to do this when I work so much???? Because I am just that damn good…. *evil grins*
I am looking forward to Christmas this year for a lot of good reasons. These reasons would not specifically include Christmas being over, however that is an added bonus. Christmas shopping has potential to being more fun then eating your own shit if it didn’t entail dealing with the public.
Now that is off my chest … I have brought you the school bus funeral, Ami’s play, the priest leaving, the principal looking like my former district manager, and my thoughts on Christmas shopping and how eating poo would almost seem more fun at this point.
Any questions? Good then either attend a play, go Christmas shopping, or eat your own poo. But all that really matters is that you have a great Christmas… *smirks*

After reading a memo on the company intranet I learned we were supposed to have daily conference calls. I called my direct boss to confirm we were actually going to have one starting the following morning. After we discussed it for a moment he tells me he is just going to call the managers individually as opposed to having a conference call. I replied with; “ok whatever” and he flips out and starts lecturing me about respect. He goes on for a moment about how saying whatever was disrespectful followed with some other comments which I basically ignored after I confirmed with him he was seriously upset with what I said… I was just sitting there thinking; “dude you are acting like a cockhole”
So anyway long story short it got back to a few other people, with now the new running joke between some friends and fellow managers is we say “whatever” every chance we get… I will even ensure I have that as my subject header when I send my boss emails.. d=)
I have started the Christmas countdown… it is not something I am looking forward to more like looking forward to being over. I realize the previous comment counters what I posted in recent past with my views on Christmas. However when you get to go face to face with all of the holiday assholes in customer service you kind of look forward to it ending sooner.
I still like the holidays outside of work, spending time with the family and the girlfriend. I meant what I posted on here about the holiday spirit so do not read into that anymore then what it is actually meant. If you do then whatever….. *smirks*
I picked up a wireless router to hook up where I am staying now. That way I can get on the internet more often since I am having withdraws. I can’t really do a whole lot of surfing at work when I am busy as hell and they have shit blocked every time I turn around… *groans* but then again we are not paid by the company to just sit around and play on the computer either so.. you know.. whatever… Now I just need to figure out why my computer is being a bitch and timing out when I am connected via wireless..
So perhaps you will see more posts on here… perhaps not .. I do however have a goal…to post a bunch of new boneheads.. along with “whatever”*smirks*
Christmas part Duex…

Yesterday I posted about my obvious irritation with people and how they have ruined Christmas over the years with the bickering about religion, beliefs, and whatever other bullshit they have claimed which has ruined it for a lot of other people.
I have been thinking about this more then just yesterday and I have a little bit of a more sane tid bit to add. I have a question.. what do you feel is the true meaning of Christmas? Ensuring whether or not someone has posted Christmas decor which offends you or helping out someone in need when they are unable to provide a christmas for their family?
I wish people would think about how petty they have become with their bullshit babbling about how Christmas is offensive to them with certain decor or methods of celebration.
I don’t know about the rest of the world, but to me the true meaning of Christmas is celebrating with your family and friends. Taking the opportunity to share Christmas joy with everyone around you. Smile and have fun.
Now is that offensive?
On that note, if you still have a problem then I have two words for you… fuck you.
