Back to High school???

Wow… an entire week.. I have not posted about jack shit. Nothing about what I thought about Knight Rider, work, CarQuest, nothing…
Been a little busy.. So let’s catch up…
As I mentioned in my last post, I watched the Knight Rider Movie. I was pretty good and if it was to be picked up as a tv series I might watch it.
My boss was on vacation .. and when he came back he was sick with in a couple of days. He might as well of stayed home but whatever..
Carquest has been suspended until taxes are in order. One of my wife’s previous employers are being a bunch of jack asses about her W2’s and I am doing everything I can to not loose my temper over the situation as we really need to get that shit going.
Let’s see… oh yeah .. I finally decided to get off my ass and build up this desktop pc I had sitting around. I placed it in my home entertainment system in the living room as it will host my nes, snes, mame, and gensis roms. It would be more fun to play on a TV with the family as opposed to cramming around a desk and trying to play on a PC monitor. I am sure I will find other uses for this along the way but in the meantime it will serve that purpose. I am going to pick up a wireless mouse and keyboard today from work so I don’t have cables lying everywhere.
An old friend of mine (if you call him that) showed up at my work over the weekend. Not sure how he knew I was working there but whatever. He wanted to “chat” and “catch up on things” Bullshit..
Last night some of my co-workers and I presented a check to my old high school. I cannot remember what exactly it was for, but I went to represent my division, and I was curious how much the place had changed.
It was interesting to me since obviously in twelve years so much has changed, and so much has not changed. There was still the mural on the walls my class started but now it wrapped around the other halls as well. Anyway… it reminded me how old I was, how long it had been, and while watching the basket ball game how much I hated “posers”.
Anyway… more later.. I have to go get ready for work now….

First Best Buy – “Best Buy to recommend Blu-ray format” and now Toshiba, “Toshiba to give up on HD DVD, end format war” So.. basically it would seem to me HD-DVD has officially become the new Beta Max.
I can’t wait to see what will be the next major format to fight about. Will it take another 20 years? I doubt it, I just can’t imagine how frustrating people with HD-DVD might be right about now..
New Rhona Mitra movie reminds me or Escape from New York with a touch of Resident Evil. Rhona is hot… loved her in Boston Legal, she makes me want to proudly jerk my chicken and I am ok with that.. anyway here is her latest movie.. I hope she is neked… *laughs* Doomsday..
Not that I would vote for him, but why didn’t Dickie boy want to represent the republican party and run for president?

Digsby… I was on a quest to see if there was anything new and exciting out on the interwebs for an all in one instant messenger. Years ago, I was a fan of Odigo.. then it became crap. I used Trillian for years but it just cannot keep up.. MySpace IM support has been asked for years and the latest ASSHOLE.. I mean Astra does not seem to be on the release list anytime before computers are surgically implanted into our arms.
So I have been using pidgin for a while… and its ok.. very basic which is fine… but I came across Digsby today. I installed it.. freaked at the memory it consumes.. and decided I wasn’t too impressed with it. All though it does allow you to connect to a facebook and myspace profile *yank* it does not support myspace IM.. so not only does this app pretty much suck balls.. but it sucks up your ram as well… AAAGGGHHH!!!
So … the boss is gone again and I am the HNIC… (head nerd in charge) I know what you were thinking.. and you were WRONG!! I like it when he is gone.
Well I have to go take a shit now.. release some digsby at the pool…

My boss whom is a mac lover went absolutely nuts when he saw this desktop. That’s ok tho.. once he removed it, I just placed it back on there for him.
It was very childish.. but hey what did you expect?

First I read the following headline… “Jeb Bush gets behind McCain” and it sounded something more like; “Garfield found a running mate.” *laughs* who gives a flying shit about Jeb Bush and who he endorses.. this guy is a bigger ass clown then the other two political Bush wacks.
I don’t think McCain has much of a chance anyway if he is going to run against Hillary or Obama, but he does know how to make me laugh. Jeb Bush.. let’s get Woody Woodpecker on the phone and have him get Yosemite Sam to endorse McCain too.. *LOL!!* I bet Songebob would be happy to help fill the political warchest.

After reading this article all I can think of it .. thank god I own a Treo.
Monday night television is a real bitch for me as there are too many shows to watch or DVR at a time. There is American Gladiators, Deal or No Deal, Connor Chronicles, and Raw. They all over lap too much.. it’s a bitch, but I refuse to pay for a second DVR. I guess I could hook up cable TV into my office and set up the video card as a DVR also.
Has anyone else been watching the Sarah Connor Chronicles? The show is pretty good with some light humor as well. In tonight’s episode the female terminator is basically instructed to speak to a counselor about “her grievance” over the death of a “fellow student”. When the counselor is finished speaking the terminator motionless and with her monotone voice says; “I am finished with grief counseling, I am all better now, thank you.. may I leave now?” The show is a scream.. in a way the female terminator is the comic relief of the show.
Carquest Day 2:
I have to re arrange my schedule at work to meet the accomodations of my ride. It’s kind of annoying, but I do what I have to do. I am teasing the idea of from dealer ship yesterday, my supervisor at work told me his dad is a car dealer. (not sure what I think about that yet), and my uncle asked me some questions as he might have some prospects also. He is thinking either rebuild the truck, or get another vehicle and get the truck fixed.
I will just have to see what he finds out when he calls me in the morning.
Work was pretty busy today which was good as I like time to fly. We hit budget by two which is always a good thing, and we were over our sales budget by the time I left so all and all a good day.
My one on one review with my boss was pretty decent. He wants me to continue doing what I am doing, and start training other people to pick up the steam when I am not around, etc. *shrugs* I said it before and I will say it again.. it is great to be king!

Anyway.. Shawn and I checked out a few vehicles at this car lot today. There was a really nice mini van I liked but I couldn’t really fit into it comfortably.. however I am sure Vanessa would have been just fine, and I would just ride around when I needed a ride.. *shrugs* the second van we looked at didn’t ride as nice, had more room for me to fit (I am 6′7) but it did not ride as smooth as the first one. Interestingly enough the first one was older and rode better.
I checked out a couple of other vehicles one of them was a Dodge Magnum, but I didn’t care for it too much. I also checked out .. some other vehicle which impressed me so much I couldn’t tell you what the hell it was..
I have to tell you I really hate shopping for vehicles.. I can not ever think of one time where I ever had to shop for a car and was more excited then I would be if I were giving birth through my penis.
There are times like this morning where I took a shit so big I about printed a birth certificate and claimed a sex.. my asshole was tired and I almost took a nap after the ordeal and it was still more pleasant then car shopping..
Moving along…
I modified more cars in Vice City then I have ever had with previous installations. I have changed the cops to not look so retarded, I upgraded their cars and uniforms.. there are the following cars now to steal… 70’s TransAm, Ferrari Testarossa, Lamborgini Coutach, Aston Martin, The General Lee, Ferrari..Diablo?, Coca Cola Truck, Lamborgini Undercover Car, and a buggy… *shrugs* I have never been so involved in a game as much as I have with this particular one… oh well … what the hell ..
‘Jaws’ actor Roy Scheider dies usually I would say something witty about a dead celeb but I actually liked Roy Scheider. My first movie I saw him in was Blue Thunder.. like everyone else I remember Jaws.. and I remember him from The Rainmaker, Dracula 2, and in high school he was on a TV series.. Seaquest. (a show I actually enjoyed the first season)
I think that is about it for now … I am done ranting about my car misfortune, a four year old video game I remain addicted to, etc.

With my new found love for my desktop, I have once again embraced another jot through GTA Vice City. The game seems to run a tad bit smoother, but I keep screwing up the game installation files with all of the mods I install.
I should just make a copy of the installed files once I get the game tricked out the way I want to.. I do not do anything major to the game usually. I make the police officers not look so gay by making their uniforms and equipment blue, I changed some of the cars to their actual vehicle names and appearances and finally the bat signal. I screwed up the game pretty bad when I tried to add some personal island bullshit mod I found on the net. *rolls eyes* Oh yeah.. and I added the more blood mod.
Anyway… I seem to enjoy the desktop more with the fact I upped the ram. I should have purchased one more 512 stick but $29.00 for and extra 256 MB just isn’t worth it for me.
In the real world.. the transmission in the van went out. I swear I seem to be on this losing streak with vehicles. I would be more pissed off about the matter had I spent more then 500.00 for the thing.
Umm … other then that there is nothing really exciting going on. I have been sitting around here for the last couple of hours waiting for my friend Shawn to get his over here so he can take me car shopping.. *groans*
I hate it absolutely fucking hate it when someone tells me they are going to help me out with something and they don’t. Seriously if you aren’t going to have time or you just flat out do not want to.. then that is fine with me too!! but don’t fuckin tell me you are and not show up!
With that, I move to go back to playing my game where I can blow shit up!
Cannibalism with in religion?

My daughter came up to me this evening informing me she would be the bread bearer at school. Being I am not religious my wife had to explained it to me a little since well I haven’t been to church since I was Ami’s age.
After I was explained how the bread and wine is blessed by the pastor they are to consume these items as part of Jesus. Bread representing his body and the wine represents his blood.
I raised an eye brow, and asked; “So basically they eat Jesus?” I was smacked by my wife. Of course I was not going to ask this around Ami as I am sure it would just torment her. *shrugs* So anyway after being told I as cruel, I pointed out I am not the one whom is a part of a group whom eats food and drink claiming after it was blessed it is parts of another man?
I think next time I go to the grocery store I might ask the stock boys where they keep the loaves of Jesus? Come on… it’s funny!!
Anyway…
Somehow.. it slipped my mind today was super Tuesday, thus I didn’t well do my part. Shit!
So .. I first wake up to my dog waking me up from the thunderstorms. Because she is a chicken shit and now has to go pee. I had to crawl out of bed and make the bitch happy. I left her out, one drop and she is back in. Seriously… I could have hawked a lugi with more liquid then what came from her. I was pissed off.
Go back to bed.. phone goes off… TWICE time for wife and kid to get up. I go back to sleep.. Phone rings.. TWICE it is the power company with a message telling me I owe money. We just paid them!!! Vanessa calls and gets the oops we are sorry it was a mistake speak.. Grrr…
Finally I give up sleeping and try to get on the internet. Nope… sorry outage or some crap. FUCK!!!
Then I had to go to work…
Too many customer issues at one time… but I get them all taken care of cause well… I am the man.. we hit budget… cause I am the man..

The 2008 super bowl .. At first, I was like… Big Deal .. I enjoyed the shit I took during the half time performance more then I enjoyed listening to Tom Petty. I will however give the Giants credit, the last few minutes of the game they owned it.. It ended up being a really good game… everything leading up to that could lick my nuts.. AND WHAT WAS WITH ALL THE FUCKING COMMERCIAL BREAKS!! OMFG!!!!
Anyway.. I decided to look on ebay and fare my chances at seeing if I could find a decent price on memory so I could upgrade my desktop / media server. I picked up two 512 sticks so I will end up with 1280 ram as I will retain on of my 256 sticks in the computer. This will make the machine run much faster and smoother since I rely on it to stream my itunes through out the house, and occasionally over the internet.
I also reinstalled the os recently as it started to run like shit after installing the BETA service pack 3 (XP). This time while I sat there watching windows install I thought to myself .. if I imaged the notebook… then … so I installed XP, SP2, set up the remote settings to access it on the network, and I imaged the bitch. Next time I have to restore it, I shall spend twenty minutes not 3 or 4 hours! *smirks*
I have decided from now on that I will just start making images of every computer I use to reduce time on reinstalling. Then again if I quit fucking them up then that may help too… but.. whatever.
I also figured since I promote Trend Mirco at work (as it is the job) and Norton Sucks my asshole dry! (as we at work agree Norton is terrible) I decided to actually use Trend Micro Internet Security on my machines. Since I have a three license copy, I installed it on my notebook, desktop, and my daughters computer.
I like the child safety features on Trend 08 much better then K9. Although K9 was free, Trend gives me more options for child safety it’s not that I feel my daughter can’t be trusted with a computer, but she is very trusting with other people.
So … there you have it… the Super Bowl started off lame, ended pretty good… image your machines it saves time on restores, Trend 08 is actually pretty decent, Norton Sucks my asshole… and one last thing..
