FINALLY!!
May 28th
A while back I went
on this huge linux kick and installed Ubuntu on my notebook, etc.. etc..
All though I really do not have any Vista problems with the notebook
since it runs like a champ with the amount of ram I have, but I still
wanted Ubuntu to work. Well it does.. but for whatever reason I could
never get the wireless to work. So after fucking around with
downloading the “right” drivers and installing a couple of third party
apps, I finally got the wireless to work!! *thumbs up*
I have to admit I am still windows a little here and there so I can
play my GTA Vice City online, etc because sorry … Wine does not run
that great for games…
I think the wife is starting to miss the kid… she has been gone …
two days now I think??? *laughs* that is pretty bad when I don’t
remember when she left. I am sure she is having a good time tho…
I am VERY glad I am also off tomorrow… I was not too pleased when I
had to go into work on my day AGAIN. This time around I think I was
only there about an hour.. but it is the principle.. when you are off..
you are off you don’t want to go to work for ANYTHING until it is time
to return to work. *shrugs*
I think that is all for now …

You know one of the problems with owning a shit load of DVD’s? You become the family’s personal blockbuster. I was in the mood the other night to watch The Fast and The Furious. I had the third one but I could not seem to locate the first two. Suddenly I realized I hadn’t watched the movie in a couple of years. I called up my mother and to no surprise she had them. Her response? “I thought you gave them to me!”
I informed her I would be by to “collect” my dvd’s and I would be happy to make her copies if she wanted. I never pictured my mother to be a Fast and The Furious kind of person but hey whatever… *laughs*
*shrugs* That is all I have for now …

I left a pretty useless post on myspace addressing the myspacians and how I rarely hang there as myspace sucks! Facebook is more entertaining in a I can do shit on there from my cel phone when I should be working kind of way.. *smirks*
Do you remember when Aerosmith was cool? Yeah it has been a long time hasn’t it?
I figure since my kid inherited my old desktop I am going to blow it away and reload windows for her. I have pretty much removed all programs from her computer but Windows being the wonderful hunk of shit that it is, still runs like poo thanks to things like registry and dlls. I don’t care what “cleaner” program you run on there.. your computer when running windows needs a good enema from time to time…
I considered installing Linux on her computer.. but the wife did not like that idea. Ami seemed to like it.. but Vanessa wasn’t too keen on it. I don’t think she likes the idea of Linux slowly taking over with in the house hold… *smiles*
Yesterday I had to be at a meeting for work @ 6 A.M. It was the six degrees of suck for several reasons… 1. It was a training session on a scheduling program I use to work with @ Ratshack.. 2. 6AM anything sucks.. 3. it was my second four hour meeting in a week .. 4.. 6 AM sucks… 5. I left work @ 1 and was exhausted… The meeting started to end on a positive note as I had consumed four… yes.. four.. redbulls.. and I was bouncing all over the place.. I was jumping around and mocking bad things by impersonating Mario when he dies in Super Mario Bros. (the original) … it was wild… when I finally made it home tho.. I crashed with in an hour.. *shrugs* I survived the day.. thats all that matters.
I believe that is the first energy drink I had in months!! I used to drink the full throttles all the time.. then I stopped along with my soda kick. Once pop a day is usually about it for me anymore..

Vice City Multiplayer?? Does the madness ever end?

If you know me well enough, then you know how much I really.. really love GTA: Vice City. I have downloaded and modified skins… cars… buildings.. police officers… bridges.. signs… the moon… the spot light.. and even recreated the game with all new missions where you can purchase the police station.
Then I had heard about playing Vice City online. I had to check it out… unfortunately I had to completely reinstall Vice City since I was not allowed to have the hacks in the game. It was well worth the trouble…
The differences of playing it online and like “you’re supposed to” is there are not any pedestrians to smear.. no police… no cheats… or normal missions. You have to find weapons crates if you want a gun… and you have the whole town to drive around and do some online missions.. kill fellow vice citizens, but they are not the computer generated ones… they are other people from around the world. Some are pretty cool others are assholes and you just have to put a bullet in them… *smirks*
You also have an irc like window to allow you to chat with other players. The game has been set up like it was actually designed to be multiplayer.. You can gain levels which will allow you to do various things with your characters like keep your weapons when you save a game, etc.

Needless to say I spent near the entire day off today playing this game. The game ran great on the notebook, but it definitely looked it’s best on the desktop… and the monitor I picked up a couple of weeks ago.. *smirks*
I also realized this is the first time I have played an online game of any sort on the PC in probably nine years!!
What a day it has been…

Not sure how it ended up being so insane, but the day was a little nuts to say the very least. I need to find a “happy place” and everything will be ok. The next person to poke me in the ribs to get my attention because I don’t drop what I am doing to help them will get a swift kick in the croch. *shrugs*
It was one of those days where I needed a visit from my friends Jack and Coke… *smiles*
I digress…
Let the music play.. save your worries for another day.. Fraggle Rock is Coming to the Big Screen Seriously I loved the series when I was a kid and perhaps some day (doubtful) I may own them on dvd.. but why make a movie???
But wait.. there is more …I like reading articles like this also.. Congress defies Bush on oil reserve There are so many things I would love to say about this… none of which would prevent me from being tracked by secret service or some shit… *shrugs*
I think that is it for now … Let us hope tomorrow is a better day..
Snubster… Email… Mother’s Day…

I forgot I have a snubster account… I was so excited I updated my profile picture, and added a link on facebook..
I decided to clean out my gmail again. I started on it about a year ago… then worked on it some more a few months ago.. now I have finally succeeded in getting my email cleaned out putting me down to under a hundred emails. That was quite a task… I recommend to anyone to never let your email get that out of control.
I cleaned out my aol email too… fortunately it went like this.. select all, add to spam… after that there were like ten emails worth reading.. I then decided to go ahead and change my emails settings on my aol email to only receive emails from those in my address book. *shrugs* I should have done that years ago… however it is my shit account.. so… *shrugs* who cares..
Work really sucked yesterday.. I start the day off being fifteen minutes late.. my manager was kind of shitty about it as I have never been late since I have been with the company. He claims he is going to write me up and I am thinking.. write me up and there will be no more staying late or coming in early ever again…
We have a new operations manager and he is clearly a moron. He tries to tell me how great his last store was compared to this one and I asked him why he is at our store. “If it is so great then you should go back.”
Later he is telling my Mac experts how to attach accessories.. which is fine I value all imput.. however .. he *cough* instructed them to start … attaching .. Norton Antivirus … to a Mac???? I asked him if he had lost his mind. I explained a Mac would be better off being purchased and having an M80 placed inside then to have Norton installed… besides.. Macs haven’t had a known virus in something like almost two years???
I laughed… in his face… as did my Mac experts..
There were other reasons why work was whacked but who cares..
By the time I got off work I was ready to hurt people. Being it was mother’s day and I was taking the family out to dinner I was trapped into another round of dealing with the public.
I take the wife to Outback for dinner and while we are waiting the hostess looks over at our table and says; “it will be another couple of minutes.. I just can’t make them leave you know..”
Now picture with me how long it took me to get pissed off and want to skull fuck this stupid little bitch. As it was mother’s day and we were doing this for Vanessa, I look over at her and just smile.
She knows… I gave her the option of addressing the situation or not I was going to be quiet… and yes that was very hard to do.
Fortunately I have had the following day off to just sit on my ass and do absolutely nothing… I needed a break… or people were going to get hurt… *smirks*
Coke Rewards Sucks!

Not sure really how this has happened, but I have some how accumulated multiple zip lock bags full of bottle caps from various coke products. I try to remember to enter them in each day as I can only enter ten codes a day.
That rule sucks by the way..
Speaking of suck… their stupid ass website is slower then molasses shit. Once you log in, it takes forever to load the “flash” menu. Most of the time you have to refresh the page after it randomly closes after entering in codes.
No.. it’s not just my computer(s) either. I am not sure why I am even fucking with it since I have not used any of my “points” to redeem anything. *shrugs* it’s stupid…
Old Friends??? WTF??

This past year has been a really interesting year for bumping into people from my past… Interestingly enough most of them have been from high school.
First there was John whom I ran into a few months ago at my work. He and I used to hang around some of the same people in high school. He was also friends with my wife. I obtained his phone number, but being the sucko that I am I have yet called him to grab a beer or something…
Then there was another John. His mom was my science teacher in middle school. He and I worked together at McDonald’s with my friend Greg V.
Yesterday… I ran into Jeremy. We also went to school together and hung out with some of the same people such as John, (whom told Jeremy I where I worked and has been trying to come there and stalk me). Jeremy on the other hand used to date my wife. I remember once pushing him and he glided across the floor after impact.
This morning I get a facebook request from Jacob! He and I also used to go to school together. We have not spoken in person yet, but I might drop him a line. He is however a police officer so I might resist telling him I love Grand Theft Auto.. and make sure I do not have any outstanding warrants… *smirks*
Very weird indeed…

Bush Disapproval Rating Makes History What a surprise… more and more people see Duh-be-yeah as a complete moron. I guess he could be proud of being number one in something.. I’m sure daddy is so proud…
When I look at the picture to the right he instantly reminds me of mongo from heathcliff…
Anyway… I decided to mess with Postal 2 after all these years, and after going through the trouble of getting my scratched up cd to read in my computer I finally managed to get the game installed.
After a few minutes of playing the game I remember why I stopped playing it. Executing mindless twits was entertaining, but the graphics were choppy as hell and the constant load times made me want to go postal myself. The disc is now in the trash..
Do you have tidy town where you live? It is a great program for getting rid of oversized furniture. You can’t just drop a couch in a dumpster behind a local business like you used to.
We cleaned out the garage this morning of a couch, old table, busted assed office chair, VHS tapes (yeah VHS tapes), etc.
Time for breakfast…
