Couple of days ago at work I picked up a Sound blaster X-Fi. I mainly picked it up so I could have surround sound with my notebook when I am using it in the office.

I was surprised that right out of the box I was able to get the 5.1 sound. I just unhooked my surround sound speakers from my desktop (which is still fucked up), plugged them into this device and now I can move the speakers from the desktop to the notebook via usb and have surround sound… It’s kind of cool for me considering I do have other things I can hook up to this device also. *shrugs* more ways to nerd out … *laughs*

I think I always have to find something to fuck with… I started this post yesterday and I have found more cool things to mess with.

First is the ability to run windows XP off my flash drive. That’s kind of cool if you ever want or need to access files on a jacked up drive and your os is hosed… or if you wanted to mess with someone by loading your own windows off their computer… or possibly off a work computer? Now that would be cool too.

I guess Microsoft is not finished releasing Windows XP yet since I found a copy that has service pack 3 pre installed. *shrugs* I still don’t know why people hate on Vista.. but whatever… Speaking of Vista I picked up a copy of Ultimate 64. I am going to mess with loading it on my notebook tomorrow and see if I see a difference in performance. It will be kind of irritating since I did recently tweak the computer, update the drivers, etc but oh well.

Dammit I have already been to work once already today.. and I have to go back again. It’s only going to be a four hour shift if that… but leaving and going back kinda blows.. but that’s ok.

I should have had the day off originally but I didn’t get a chance to put in a request so I had to split my shift with someone so I could attend my father in laws birthday brunch.

I picked up the first three? seasons of the Shield on DVD. I am not really sure why. I have never really followed the show and people tell me it is a really good series. I needed something new to watch.. like I don’t have enough DVD’s in my binder that I have yet to watch already… *shrugs*

Caps Lock Day.. Hmm not sure what to think about that.. I guess everything I type will be in caps lock. I am sure that will piss some people off at work…

No .. I’m not typing this post in caps lock.

I think I need anxiety pills or something.. or have someone remove my give a shit emotions from my head. I have been doing entirely too much thinking about work when I am at home as of late.

That shit is going to have to stop… perhaps I will actually sit down with the guy causing me the anxiety and see if he gives a shit.. right.. like he gives a shit.

Man Finds Racial Slur Printed On Receipt Someone printed “Dumb N****r” on the customer’s receipt. Wow.. I mean how stupid does someone have to be?

In the past I have been known to key in smart assed names on customers receipt like a guy whos name was snell and I changed it to smell. But to input what that dude did was just stupid!

I still find myself on IRC. It has been so long since I have been on IRC I have forgotten so much shit.. *laughs* like the commands, etc. I found myself using MIRC even though Pidgin has it’s own IRC abilities… I like the layout better..

I had a couple of friends tell about Second Life.. not too sure it is something I care too mess with too much. Thus far I am not too impressed. I had to update my video card drivers so I could run the stupid program. Once I was logged in, I wasn’t too impressed. Anyway .. if you want to look me up my name is CaptainKrunch Jigsaw.

Moving along … I found another site that’s kind of cool if you want to watch TV on your computer with out the hassle of a tuner. Rumor has it you can watch it on your PPC too … but I haven’t tested it yet…DeliCast

Not sure I understand the point in this service… Bongo Broadband. Unless they are marketing towards stupid people this service is pretty worthless… this is geared towards your “wireless device” and they even have a package for wifi cards too… I think I would rather jerk my chicken raw watching Grey’s Anatomy then participate in a program like Bongo.

I paid on my cel phone today at the Sprint store, and I think I have the same guy every time I go in. He seemed to remember more of what I do when I am there then me, and that’s pretty scary.

While I was adding shit to my phone, I learned that if you set up a hotmail account it will take over your contacts, delete what you have and replace them with the address book you have on your hotmail account. In my case that means I lost almost three hundred phone numbers.

I was pissed… fortunately I was able to retrieve them back since they were backed up on my Pc. First I had to go into the phone’s registry and change a couple of commands so I could remove hotmail mail from my phone.

It was almost as annoying as Norton, almost like a red headed step child or something … I’m off.. I have things on the DVR to watch.

Ok I have read the rumors there is going to be a nightmare remake for quite sometime. I have nothing against Michael Bay but I feel a “remake” to A Nightmare On Elm Street should be done by someone whom is not Michael Bay… yes Rob Zombie or hey here is an idea.. Let’s get Wes Craven!! Fuck! I would rather have Rachel Talay give it another shot, or Renny Harlin.. or Stephen Hopkins. Actually I think Rachel Talay fucked it up, or had a hand in it. (Freddy’s Dead was not that great).

Seriously? Wouldn’t that make sense? Have Wes Craven pen the reboot and direct it? I think of the a Michael Bay directed Elm street as a fuck in the ass bad idea orgy. Robert Englund should also reprise Freddy or no one at all..

Wait I know.. How about George Lucas can pen and direct the movie. That way in the Nightmare Reboot Freddy can be a little kid and have a friend similar to Jar Jar… that would make anyone go nuts and slash people!!

Thursday morning I had an interesting incident go down and I will be facing it in a few hours. The wife is very supportive of the situation and thinks that everything will be fine. I want to share her optimism but I can’t help but keep thinking about the worst.

It reminds me of an episode of the West Wing. Specifically season two in an episode called; “Noel”. I can’t go into the relevance as you never know whom reads what I put on here. I learned that lesson once before and I choose not to repeat that mistake.

I will do what I need to do to patch up what happened and move forward. I just need to learn to keep my damn mouth shut.

Wednesday someone I haven’t spoken to in a couple of years pops up at my work. That last time he and I talked he was asked to leave by a mutual friend because he was being an ass.

I remember for a couple of weeks after he was asked to leave, he called me several times in the middle of the night leaving pissy voice mails “wanting to talk”.

I choose to stop talking to him because of that, and I am unsure whether or not I want to really work on that relationship. I have no interest in inviting psycho’s into my life. I have enough of them to deal with now, why add one more to my inventory.

People are so weird….

Where have I been the last six days? To tell you the truth I have been out of my fucking mind!

Work is good, just lots of meetings and trying to keep on top of shit so I can be ready for the holidays and off the shit list. Yesterday I had a meeting, then work, and another meeting.. I mean wow..

Been spending lots of time playing around with my phone finding all kinds of shit I can do with it. Lot’s of more options then I had with the Palm phone. Some of it is the same, but better. I may actually update the webcam more often now that I can snap pictures and then upload it to the webcam folder on the site. That’s pretty cool in a dorkus maximus kind of way.

Boy I can sure drain a battery pretty quickly! Doesn’t help the battery life doesn’t get good reviews anyway. I am sure there will be an extended battery released soon.

Vancouver school is the Apple of Steve Jobs’s lawyer’s eye Bill Gates is not the only fuck tard in town. I mean after all, I can totally see where people could be mislead… on second thought, there are some pretty fucking stupid people out there… especially in Canada.. *whistles blame Canada*

I can’t see how this place could be associated with Apple Inc. but hey if I made those decisions I wouldn’t be where I am would I?

Speaking of crazy.. has anyone downloaded *cough* I mean heard the new Metallica album? Is it any good? I pretty much lost all those fucks after the way they handled the Napster thing. It’s one thing to have a legitimate gripe about something but don’t be a fuck about it.

I find myself using IRC off and on more in the last few months then I have since umm… like 2000? I used to hang out in channels from enter the game, etc. I think there used to be one for Kansas City on another IRC server but the fuck if I can remember where it was. Obviously I don’t care too much or I wouldn’t have stopped visiting it eight years ago.. *laughs*

Yes it is a Dark Knight reference… but hey that’s how I roll … It is really more suited as a reference for my new phone. I did decide to pick up the Treo 800w.

It’s a little different no, it’s really different then that I am used to from the Palm OS. In some ways I like it better (like automatic support for MP3 ring tones with out the need to additional software) and there are some things I don’t like about it (like re-learning everything, and the charging system).

The uploading of ring tones is kind of cool in a sense that I can also post what people I want the ring tones assigned to once it is uploaded to the phone. That takes a lot less time assigning through the computer then doing it through the phone.

The built in wifi is cool, GPS software is pretty tight, and there are some pretty cool windows programs I wanted on my last phone so all and all I really like this phone.

I have gone overboard with all the shit I have put on this thing! I can use it as a wireless router for my notebook when I am out on the road, I can IM people (not that I do that one much), Block Unwanted Calls, Remote Desktop into my home PC, Ping, Watch SlingBox, IRC (again something I don’t do much), print wirelessly, and use my phone as a webcam.

Truthfully the printing and call block are the two I will use the most… but whatever..

I have tried some of my palm applications on the windows phone with little success. It’s not that Style Tap sucks, but it just doesn’t work with the programs I want to set up on the phone.

The wife was giving me a hard time because I replace my phone at least once a year.. I use the hell out of them. I loved my last one and it was the best phone I had but it started rebooting when I would receive calls, and that was kind of annoying.

I didn’t know whom I was ignoring.. *smiles*
