Hmm .. this could be a big oops for Microsoft .. Microsoft Admits Windows 7 Is Not really Suitable for Netbooks “extending the availability of Windows XP until October 2010″ I wonder if XP will out live Vista? I think to date though XP is the longest running Windows operating system with out being officially expired like it’s predecessors..

I like XP, Vista, and Windows 7. Seven does seem to hold on to the coolness factor better then it’s predecessors. I think Microsoft’s biggest fuck in the ass is fighting with compatibility where it really shouldn’t have to!

Drives are not that big of a deal, and if shit is too old to support then get rid of it!

Moving on…

I saw another trailer for the new Transformers movie. The whole Megan Fox on the motorcycle bit is almost enough for me to want to see the movie. *oink*

It is interesting to sit back and watch how people are reacting to the changes. Some are taking their sever ants pay, while some are waiting to see how things unfold… then there is me. I am just sitting by the riverbank looking for something in the stream.

There are plenty of positives for my situation.. no more 8 am counts on Monday.. no more 8am meetings on Thursday. no more meetings at the district office.. *thumbs up*

Most of the remaining supervisors know what I am going to do, while everyone else is asking the question of where I am going to go, etc. It is interesting.. and so fucking hard to keep my mouth shut!

Patience has never been my strong suit.

I am in a weird situation as I am kind of at the mercy of management more so then before. For example in the past when they wanted me to do something they would ask..

Now they just call me and tell me, “Hey you are going to do this.” ex. tomorrow I was supposed to work 11 – 7. This afternoon I received a phone call from one of my managers, “Your schedule has changed for tomorrow, you are now working 10 – 6″

Umm ok.. good thing I was cool with that.. *laughs* I don’t care, it’s not that big of a deal. I still have authority for another couple of days. I kind of feel like the president where I want to sign pardons or something.

Instead I want to abuse it for my own gain or for the gain of my team… *laughs* I don’t want to get fired..

Pardons.. what an interesting idea for a supervisor..

I think we have had rain almost every day for the last two weeks. I like the rain.. very much.. but there are things I want to do outdoors. With all this rain, that kind of puts a cramp in things ya know!

RC1 is awesome! I haven’t played with it as much as I want to because I have been too busy playing around with all the shit I can do with dual monitors.. but from what I have seen thus far it’s pretty solid!

A little tip, Windows 7 does not like Creative Labs Live 5.1 Surround Sound cards… *groans* that’s ok.. the sound card built onto the mother board of my desktop works just as well. Why I ever put in the sound blaster is beyond me.

I found this gadget which syncs up your “sticky notes” with your notes in outlook. This can be pretty handy.. I can make notes on my desktop it syncs with outlook, and then syncs with my cel phone.. HOWEVER.. the program sucks.. better luck next time I guess..

There is an interesting page regarding shows people are campaigning to save.. You will notice “Chuck” and “The Sarah Connor Chronicles” are both on the list … I am all about saving “Chuck” but it took the last two episodes of TSCC to be good.. not so sure I care much if that gets renewed..

LogMeIn.com is the best fuckin remote desktop program I think I have ever seen! I have my friends computers, my parents computers, and my own computers set up to be able to have access remotely so I can fix shit with out driving up the street or across town. I love having the opportunity to be lazy when it comes to fixing computers!

We have severe weather in my area… and I realized something .. there isn’t an animated radar gadget for windows? WTF? I want to have the option to watch a cloud of ass wooping come across the country and straight into Kansas using a gadget.. not a fucking web page!

I digress.. I am off to either play Call Of Duty or GTA 4..

So the initial drama at work is over now, thank god. The cards have fallen and now we move forward with out lives..

I was cleaning out my file cabinet the other day and I in the top drawer is where I used to keep misc computer shit. I found a box of floppy disks I purchased from Office Depot in college. It was a box of 25 and only three were ever used.. I haven’t been to college in years.

I watch the season finale of Chuck last night, and I am so stocked for this series to return. I am going to be very disappointed if NBC cancels another show I like leaving it at the “to be continued” and it never was. i.e. Las Vegas.

The wedding scene was the best part of the entire show.. until “Chuck learned Kung Fu” Seriously.. how can someone not want to renew this show! Fuckin NBC…

Now we just sit and wait… not a long as you would be waiting for cash after sending your gold in the mail.. but still waiting…

Today I have a Drs. appointment with a different doctor. After really liking the last doctor I had I was forced to switch because my insurance company no longer carries there. *bastards*

I dislike new doctors, they are kind of like trying on shoes. Too many to pick from, there are going to be some you really don’t like, and if your not careful you can hurt your feet. Make sense? No? That’s ok, this is my site.. *laughs*

If you go on to Yahoo movies there you will find the teaser for H2. Now all thought Rob Zombie did a decent job with the first Halloween, I have to question the quality of this up coming sequel.

I was fine with the idea until I noticed a sign in the window from the trailer which says; “No cel phones or electronic devices”

I don’t seem to remember there being cel phones in the seventies, or for there to warrant the concern of cel phone usage since it hasn’t become an issue since umm 200x?

Anyway.. the movie still might be good… or the movie might be a piece of shit. Why not wait until October to release the movie? Like say Halloween? That would make sense right? *laughs*

Unless you are living in a cave you know the release candidate for windows 7 was “leaked” on the internet. Build 7100… Are you going to get it? I do like what Windows 7 has to offer…

Ordering shit off of ebay kind of sucks when you have to wait for it to some from Hong Kong or China. I ordered some decepticon wheel caps to replace the Chevy emblem on the wheels. They are going to look dope!

I think I have rambled long enough .. time to take a shit.

Server + iTunes = gayness… I have been kicking around various ideas on what to do with my server now that I finally have it up. (It only took me near ten years).

I moved all of my music to the server so I can better stream my music through out the house with out relying on my personal computer to be on all the time. Moving the music over was really not that big of a deal, but iTunes was being a jackass when I tried to add all my music into its library. Fortunately itunes folder watch did a lot of the work for me after deciding iTunes could suck it when it wouldn’t work the way it was “supposed to”

Now I have it all on the server, and life is good..

Terminal Server.. not such a good idea for what I want to do .. but that’s ok.

I replaced the memory in the kids computer and the problems went away. *thank god* I don’t know what was aggravating me more, her computer not working or her whining about it. I put another fan in her pc to to help with the air flow.. her pc now glows blue.. *laughs*

I have a buddy whom is on Sprint and every time there is something wrong he blows up on them like no one I have ever seen. They always hand him what he wants after the tells them he is going to beat some ass, or *enter threat here*, or cancel his contract.

First of all, I am surprised no one would just cancel him and tell him goodbye just so they don’t have to listen to him anymore but that is just me. I would have..

Instead he gets a replacement phone every time he has a problem. This last go around he was having problems with his Treo 800w and they mailed him a replacement one after replacing the phone in the store. He asked me if I wanted it so I took it.

I do have a second phone number that only five people have since it is my back up phone number. I might activate the phone on that line, but I think Sprint will want to take me from ten dollars a month to a hundred. I would be ok with an additional 15 (internet) but not so much on the rest of the crap they think I would *need*

Or I might just leave it for a back up phone. Surprisingly the wife didn’t want it. She is just fine with her Centro… *shrugs* what to do..

So there is a lot of buzz on the internet regarding the fate of Chuck. Not sure why NBC is being retarded about this show. The show rocks! This weeks episode was off the hook and it wasn’t even the finale.

Next week is still billed as the season finale not the series. I read the actor whom plays Captain Awesome says they do not know if the show has been picked up yet or not, and the sets have not been torn down. So I guess that is a good sign… *shrugs*

(we all wait patiently for the news of a season three of Chuck)

I hope there is a third season it is my favorite show on television.

Not sure why I am up so early.. I did go to bed earlier then normal so that may have something to do with it… *shrugs* It is a little after 7am and I have clearly expressed my distaste for 7am..

The kid is having computer problems again .. it’s kind of annoying not because of her but her computer… I would just rather buy her a new one. A simple E-Machine from work for around $300.00. I just don’t have that at the moment since I spent it on the truck … grr ..

It’s an IRQ issue… so it could be the ram.. or one of the expansion cards I put in there. I took out the expansion cards… so we shall see if that fixes the problem. If that doesn’t work, we shall go from there..

It’s been a good computer, it used to be my primary machine in 04′ when a p3 was the latest and greatest… *laughs* but all in all it has done well and lasted.

I haven’t really had a lot of exciting crap going on to really rant about the day in the life about yours truly.

Work has been a little bit stressful with the changes coming and having to be the assertive one in a meeting gets kind of tiring. It is what it is, just trying to keep my head up.

Holy shit.. I saw a preview of the Transformers Sequel and I have to tell I got a chubby.. it looks f’n awesome!

This is going to be one kick ass movie!! Like Michael Bay or hate Michael Bay I give the man props for bring Transformers to the big screen.

Chew on that rather then me bitch about work, or what not…

I was going to post on Sunday with a header to the affect of Happy Celebration of the dead guy day.. and comment how in celebration of Easter I took up carpentry.

On easter my family and I ate at a new Japenese steak house near the house and found the best men’s restroom sign I think I have seen..

The stream is animated with chasing led lights.. it was pretty awsome I got a good laugh..

The truck is back up and running, replaced the steering column, new radio (same model as before), and I now have a nice car alarm installed too. I still need to purchase a new coat… fuckers…

I have had a hard time getting a good nights sleep lately. I think it is a combination of wondering what my future holds at work, the truck, and the petty spats I have been having with the wife.

We are going to have a restructure at work, I am not worried about my job at all as I will have the same pay for the next year. There is a position I am gunning for that I really want to obtain. It is the position I have been gunning for since I started at this company.

*fingers crossed*

While I am not working or dealing with the truck, I have decided to set up a server at the house. I have been thinking about setting one up for years, but never got around to actually doing it.

Not sure if I want to host my webshit from this server yet, but I am definately playing around with active directories. The idea which really put me into wanting to do this is the ability to have the kid get on the net from any computer and have her security settings be the same regardless of the computer.

I *think* I can do that with the server. I am running windows server 2003, and I am just starting to get into terminal services. I am hoping this is going to lead me down the path I want to go.

I think I am going to try and go back to bed now..

After spending a portion of my internet time today watching clip after clip of the new Star Trek movie I have a burning desire to see the movie. A movie like this is something I would have a hard time seeing opening weekend since all the “trekkies” will be swarming around every megaplex around the world.

Then I got the email every nerd wants to get. It’s the one from Intel offering me the option to register for an Intel Even where I can … see the new Star Trek movie the night before it comes out…

Blockbuster May Be Going Bust

I am not one to post things I have read on other “personal sites” however like Mike, I have a twitch in my brain when the word “Blockbuster” comes to mind.

Where his is in regard to late fee’s I hold a different gaping wound for those fuckers. Let that company burn… Let’s see.. I was getting fucked when I worked there.. I met one of the most craziest girlfriends you could ever have there … I was fucked out of a promotion … I was fucked out of … blah blah blah..

I will be fighting everyone else for a front row seat to watch the demise of this horse shit company who’s claim to fame was fucking it’s customers with late fee’s and showing commercials with talking rabbits and squirrels.

To think these assclowns were attempting to purchase Circuit City. If they were going to have a biggest loser corporation hall of fame, Blockbuster and Circuit would duke it out for the number one spot. While Hollywood Video, Radioshack, and CompUSA could fight over the number two spot.

Fuck Blockbuster! Let them burn… As you can see here I don’t hold anything back. (not that I do in person either).

Woman calls 911 over lack of shrimp in fried rice This is just funny as hell. People really are this crazy! I remember when I worked for Radio Shack I had a woman call the police because I asked her to leave! “some customers are happy. Some are not.” ROFLMAO..

Woman with beer can in hand starts brawl at wake This made me laugh too. It’s interesting how the article points out the womans tendency to want to have her own ass ‘wuppin’ contest, but nothing about “why”.

What’s wrong with taking a beer to the wake? *kidding*

This quite possibly could have saved T3. They could still make this the ending to the Sarah Connor Chronicles, it would have made all that time wasted watching the series worth it.
