Customer comes up to my counter and places her computer on my counter.

me: “Can I help you?”
cust: “when you guys cleaned off the viruses from my computer you messed up my printer and I cannot get the printer to work.”
me: “Okay. I do not see the printer on the counter… did you bring it with you?”
cust: “Well no, the printer is not broken it is the computer that will not connect to the printer.”
In my mind I am laughing
me: “I understand, I need the printer here so I can trouble shoot why the two pieces are not communicating.”
cust: “Well can’t you just fix it?”
umm…
me: “I am sure I could remedy the issue for you, but I need both pieces here to help you out.”
cust: “Why can’t you just fix it?”
me: “Well..”
cust: “Can’t you just hook up your printer to my computer and tell me what is wrong with the computer.”
I so bad wanted to tell her my printer is also at home.. but I didn’t
me: “If you are referring to the printers we sell out on the sales floor, I could install one of those printers onto your computer but it would not help with why your printer is not communicating with the computer.”
cust: “For the last time it is not the printer that is having problems it is the computer!!!”
me: “Let me grab a printer and I will happy to hook one up, is this a printer we carry in the store? I would like to see if we still carry it.”
cust: “no! I purchased the printer from sam’s club because you do not carry it! Does this mean you are not going to help me now? Because I didn’t buy the printer from you!”
me: “No I was going to see if..”
cust: “FORGET IT!! you do not know a damn thing about computers you moron!
The customer grabs her computers and storms away yelling…
cust: “Now I have to carry this back out to my car!”

I was going to offer her assistance but I was concerned I would just enrage her more…. *shrugs*
